Benefits of a Collagen Induction Facial

Benefits of a Collagen Induction Facial

Plenty of facial treatments aim at stimulating collagen in your skin. That’s because collagen is the protein that keeps your skin supported and youthful-looking through the years.

As you get older, your body naturally produces less collagen. So a broad variety of cosmetic treatments work to reverse that by triggering new collagen formation in your skin.

While many of these treatments, like microneedling, do help to stimulate collagen production, we can also take things a step further. Here at Revive Medical Aesthetics in Longview, Washington, Dawn Woods, ARNP, and our team offer specialized collagen induction treatment to give your skin what it needs to create more collagen, delivering more dramatic results.

How our collagen induction facial works

Our treatment uses microneedling because it’s effective at stimulating collagen production in your skin, but we partner it with platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy to give you even more dramatic results.

During microneedling, we use a specialized device to create tiny pinpricks in the surface of your skin. Your body registers those as injuries, kickstarting its regenerative processes. In doing so, it starts building new collagen.

But we don’t stop there. After microneedling, we apply PRP to your skin, allowing it to penetrate through the microneedling channels. We create the PRP by taking a very small sample of your blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate out the plasma and platelets. The platelets are rich in growth factors that stimulate and support your skin’s healing processes and collagen production.

Together, the microneedling and the PRP leave you with a new network of collagen that’s gradually produced after the treatment. This directly combats the decline in collagen that creeps in over time, supporting smooth, younger-looking skin.

What your collagen induction facial can do for you

Our collagen induction facial can help to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and leave your skin glowing. Plus, because the solution we use is derived from your own blood, it comes with minimal risk. In fact, this collagen induction facial can be a good fit for people who have allergic reactions or are wary about Botox® and fillers.

Plus, we’ve designed this process to be as convenient and comfortable as possible for you. We apply a topical anesthetic before treatment to ensure you don’t feel discomfort during your collagen induction facial.

What’s more, because this facial is completely nonsurgical, you get anti-aging results with little to no downtime. You might experience some slight bruising, for example, but it usually fades in a couple of days, if not sooner.

If you think this collagen induction facial could be right for you, call us or email our spa to set up an appointment.
